The Process

Before your procedure, Dr. Ray may request x-rays or advanced images of your smile, which can be used to create a wax mock-up of your custom porcelain veneer. We can make any adjustments to your mockup, tailoring the texture, color, and length to your bite and unique facial contours. If no modifications are needed, we can send your scans to our trusted dental laboratory, where your veneers will be expertly fabricated.

The Procedure

To ensure your comfort during the procedure, Dr. Ray can administer a local anesthetic. He can then carefully reshape the enamel and buff the front surface of your tooth in preparation for the adhesive agent. The amount of enamel removed will depend upon the type of veneer you are receiving. Before securing the veneer in place with dental cement, Dr. Ray can ensure it fits comfortably in your smile and blends seamlessly with adjacent teeth. After bonding is complete, you can enjoy your newly transformed appearance.

Maintaining Your Veneers

After placing your veneers, our team can provide you with detailed care instructions. To prolong the lifespan of your restorations, it is important to maintain proper oral hygiene, including daily brushing and flossing. In addition, we may recommend avoiding foods and beverages that can stain your teeth, such as red wine, tea, berries, and coffee.
