Meet Dr. Steven Ray

The relationships I build with my patients carries over to the great staff I am fortunate to have as well. Without their trust, support, and teamwork, I could not provide the high level of care that I strive to. I also love the continual learning and teaching aspects of this job. Understanding how dental disease and problems can affect a person's overall health, well-being and quality of life is a key factor in treating that individual successfully. At the end of the day, I can help my patient understand his or her dental condition and options for care. At that point my patient can make a well informed healthcare decision. This important communication provides the foundation for changing people's lives for the better.

Education

This profession means a true commitment to gaining and maintaining the education necessary to provide patients with the finest dental care the profession has to offer. I attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, graduating in 1989 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. My plans to become a dentist started at a very early age and were fulfilled when I was accepted to the University of Tennessee Memphis in 1989

Practices

After graduating from dental school in 1993 my first year of practice was in Hot Springs working as an associate but quickly realized that a private practice was my goal. I had been in a group practice for 14 years and decided to go a different direction once again in 2009 with a solo practice.

My goal is to provide my patients with exceptional dental work and a very caring touch. I want to show each patient that many dental procedures that have historically caused fear can be performed with minimal discomfort. By creating trust and a friendly, family environment I hope to build long-lasting relationships with my patients.

Personal Life & Family

I am a Razorback through and through. I was born in Little Rock and moved to the Bryant area in 1973.

I enjoy spending time with my family. My two kids keep me "young" with all of their activities including: football, basketball, gymnastics and cheerleading. I enjoy golfing, hunting, boating and anything outdoors. I am in a committed relationship with Brett Merritt whose awesome creative abilities have been enjoyed by many of my patients during the holidays with our beautiful and fun giveaways and the absolutely gorgeous way she decorates my office.
